THE TUNIC

Never wear a tunic that doesn’t belong to you. When you do that, you create difficulties for a lot of people around you, and to yourself too.

That tunic doesn’t fit you… it wasn’t made for you!

Each one of us has a goal, a purpose of life, and God, our creator, us given us a variety of gifts and skills. Some had received more, others less, as God wanted! Nothing to contest, but a lot of to thank! God is God!

But we need to work on this gifts, do our part, follow every advice given, accomplish the mission according to our own talents.

When we wear a tunic that doesn’t belong to us, we fail. It is very common to see that at work, in the school, at the club, anywhere! We notice many people working on projects that they are not really ready for!

In politics approaches, this is so common, so frequently...

In John 19:23 and 24, the roman soldiers because of the crucifixion, had taken Jhesus clothes and shared it in four parts, but the tunic had been sorted out among them, because of its good fabric and there was no sewing. If they wanted to rip it off, they would have to thrown it away. That’s why they sorted it out.

And they did that, to follow the holy scriptures, because in Salms 22:18 it is written by king Davi, many centuries before Jhesus was born: “Shared my clothes among you and about my tunic, lots of luck.”

And God have given away tunics of unction to his sons. Some had got twice as much unction. Eliseu had got it! He was disciple of Elias. Elias had performed seven miracles, while Eliseu had performed fourteen miracles and the last one had happened a couple of years after Eliseu’s death. How come?

Well, in the heat of a battle a soldier dropped dead exactly in the place where located Eliseu’s bones, and the body of the soldier when touched the bones of the prophet, had immediately regained life and returns to the battle, now totally covered with God’s unction.

God wishes to give you the same double unction and, to obtain it, it is necessary that you obey him, just like Josué, Joseph of Egipt and king Davi, three sons of God that had got the tunic of unction.

Josué was the son of Num, and after Moses death, was chosen by God to guide the Hebrew people, to Canaã, the promissed land. And Josué reigned over a nation, and he also had the unction of authority, determined by God. Everything running very well for Josué, by the way, he obeyed God and had intimacy with him.

And Joseph? He was Jacob’s dear son, with his wife Raquel, a woman that he had worked for long fourteen years to his father in law. And Jacob always prefered Joseph. This had broght a feeling of anger among the rest of the brothers, that they even wished to kill him.

And, in the day that they decided to kill him, he was wearing the tunic that his father gave him. The old brothers, after a violent discussion decided to throw him in the well in the desert. The well is very deep, and it is impossible get out of there. Joseph got desperated and started to scream very loud, and because of this, a group of travelers passing by near, helped him get out of the well, and sold him as a slave in Egipt.

Joseph’s tunic had a  great blood stain and it was handed to Jacob. When Jacob received the tunic of the beloved son, he started crying, thinking that Joseph had been eaten by a wild animal. In Genesis 37:3 e 4, we read: “Israel (Jacob) loved more Joseph than his others sons because he was the son of his old age, and made him a tunic with long sleeves. The brothers knew that their father loved Joseph more than anybody else, they started hating him and were not able to have any placefull conversation.

Sometimes we put lots of efforts to achieve some goals and we fail. What do we need to have? 

It is intimacy with God… The presence of God.

Those who have intimacy with God ask for the grace and they are heard; God even approaches your ear, so you can hear him clearly and automatically his grace manifests with all his power, freeing the grace given.

Only special sons have intimacy with God, they dedicate exclusively to him. It’s very simple and absolutely efficient.

My friend, preacher Aparecido, wished to see God and then God had appeared to him saying: “Observe the man, he is one part solid and two parts liquid. Observe the planet Earth, one part is solid and two parts are liquid. And about me? I am great! I am the great, I am!

If you read Isahias 40:12 you will understand how great God is!

If you read Apocalipse 3:20 you will have intimacy with God!

And in an specific occasion, king Davi complained to God: “OH Lord! They shared my tunic among themselves.”

But Davi was a man according to God’s heart. He suffered a lot because of his mistakes. But when he regreted, the cried and claimed for God his forgiveness. 

God heard him and forgive him, and Davi always get God’s unction, and us we read in 1 Chronicles 29:28, “Died in an old age, full of days of richness and glory; and Salomon, his son, has reigned in his place.”

Jhesus wants to return, the signs shows that his return is near. Very near! Therefore people of the world are trying to stop him from returning, people full of pride and never worried about those who suffer around.

Joseph of Egipt wanted to save his nation. He made it!

King Davi wanted to unite the nations of Israel. He made it!

Jhesus wanted to bring together all the nations.

In Genesis 17, God talks to Abraham: “We will have an alliance and you will be multiplied extraordinarily.”  To God, each family is a nation, my dear reader.

For you that reads me, and is a descendant of Abraham, has the responsibility to bless all the nations. How many nations have you blessed and saved? Where is your tunic, my dear? When are you going to play the role that God reserved for you?

Never have doubts about responsabilities with God, and I, João Antonio Pagliosa, know and recognize that my only tunic is to talk and write about the word of God. He has given me gifts and I cannot refuse them, because if I do, he will find somebody else, and I will be having no more, the glory from God. Think seriously about this, man and woman!

All that wears a tunic have also a scepter and the crown. And the proper God declared: “You will be kings and preachers.”

Who is the priest in your home? You, as a man, need to play this role, and you woman learn to be submiss to your husband.

When a man can’t play this role, God rise the woman to do it. But, when the man wake up from your lethargy and play your role, the wife will understand and will give support to him.

A home in which the husband plays the role of priest is full of unction of God, and this family will prosper and will live the hapiness of God.

Remenber, God is king and has a tunic, a scepter and a crown. We, christians represent him, so we need to have a tunic, a scepter and a crown.

Davi was hated by king Saul, who tried to kill him several times. And in at least three occasions Davi could have killed Saul, but he didn't do it, because he recognized that Saul had the unction of God, and Davi trust in God and we can't embarass God with unadequated and failed actions. We can't wear the tunic that doesn't belong to us.

And Davi defeated Golies because of his faith.Upon God, you are not different from Davi and therefore, you can defeat your giants. 

You  will be able to exterminate, aniquilate and destroy all your giants and your difficulties because of your faith and perseverance in Jhesus.

So, my dear reader, learn to take care of your ministery, not only because God, but because yourself. Wear your tunic according to the gifts given to you.

There is a tunic for each ministery, and there is an infinity of gifts. They are incontable, but at least God has given one, to you. Find out about this gift and be careful with the ministery that God gave to you. And be sure that God will test you. Do you remenber the parable of the talents?

And God has created us as one. We are all equals for the salvation, but we are not equals for the function. 

"Do each one according to the gifts given to you."

King Saul failed because he disobeyed God, therefore be very careful with the judgement door in your life. Don't doubt that God is a pure fire consumer.

And the history of Joh that shows that the evil can take everything away from your life, but the evil can't take away the purpose that God had reserved for us. Joh's ministerial tunic was intersection, and the Bible shows us that from the moment that Joh prayed for others, he prospered. His unction came to him twice as much.

Nobody can beat God in blessings! Josue, Joseph, Davi, and even Jhesus are magnificient examples that shows it.

You may be taken away from your territory, just like Joseph, but God will bless you wherever you may be. Daniel was thrown in the starving lions cage. But God loved Daniel and simply ordered the animals not to eat in that day. And Daniel had escaped harmless!

God will eat your enemies as if they were a piece of bread, or brioches, because he is worried about you and wants you to have only victories, but if you murmur, you won't be blessed. You will be suffering if you keep in murmuring.

Well, stop suffering! Trust exclusively in God with an inshakeable faith. Then you will be light of the world, the salt of earth, you will brighten people around you.
